Level 6 Swim Lessons Age 6 & up

Prerequisite: Level 5

In Level 6, participants work on refining their technique in the front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke and breaststroke, focusing on making each stroke smoother, more efficient and more powerful. A new stroke, the sidestroke, is also introduced at this level. Along with stroke development, participants practice more advanced water safety and endurance skills, including: surface dives, retrieving a brick from a depth of nine feet and treading water. Level 6 emphasizes strong, efficient swimming and practical survival skills in deeper water.

Goggles are highly recommended.
