Even if you’ve never held knitting needles, you can learn the basics of knitting including cast-on, knit, purl and bind-off. These four skills will set you up for success with many different knitting projects. Under the guidance of an experienced knitter, you will combine the four basic skills of knitting to start you on your way to your knitting adventure. Please bring a pair of wood knitting needles in size 10, a skein of light colored worsted weight (#4) yarn, scissors and a darning needle with a large eye.

Alcohol ink is a forgiving medium that allows you to wipe away mistakes with isopropyl alcohol. Have fun and enjoy yourself while you use real leaves to make the fall background and then create the flowers using a hand blower. You will be guided through each step. Make one 8x11” painting in your chosen colors. Given time, you can create a 2nd painting with variations. A supply fee of $15 is payable to the instructor at class.

Brioche knitting is a technique creating a lush, thick and fully reversible ribbed fabric using slipped stitches and yarn overs that are knitted together in subsequent rows. It produces a "squishy" texture, perfect for scarves and blankets and is often worked in one or two colors to create contrasting, textured stripes. Must be proficient in knitting and purling. Have you ever wanted to try your hand at abstract art that is fun and colorful? Put down your choice of colors to make the background, then blend the background and use a thin brush to create your tree and a stamper for the leaves. You’ll be guided through each step. Make one 4-1/2”x6” painting to learn the technique then paint another 4-1//2”x6” or a 9”x12” painting. The best part of using alcohol ink is that you can wipe it off with isopropyl alcohol. Entrelac knitting is a technique composed of interlocking squares or rectangles worked in diagonal tiers. It's a style of knitting that resembles a basket weave. We’ll cover scanning slides, movies and prints as well as backing up, cloud storage and scanners. Discover easy ways to repair old photos. By the end of class, you'll have a plan for a system that allows you to access every photo you own in seconds!

Choose colors of your choice to create four unique ornaments; follow a color scheme or each ornament can be completely different. The ornaments are painted on the inside so the colors will last forever. A supply fee of $20 is payable to the instructor at class. Additional ornaments can be made for a fee of $4 per ornament.
