Holiday Lights Tour
Join us for an evening of holiday lights and decorations as we drive around admiring the holiday decorations in the Forest Lake area. Of course, no holiday event would be complete without hot chocolate and cookies to keep us warm! For those providing their own transportation, we will meet you at the Education Center cafeteria at 6:00 pm - 943 9th Ave SW, Forest Lake, enter door #4 on the east side of the building. At 8pm, we will bring you back to the Education Center, door #4. Last day to register Monday Nov 30th. -
Make Your Own Supper - Subs and Salads
We are going to get together and make our own supper. Something cool in the hot weather- make your own Sub Sandwiches and some yummy summer salads! A fun night in the kitchen with our LINK friends! -
Brewers Baseball Game
Root, Root, Root for the Home Team as we cheer on the Forest Lake Brewers vs Elk Lumberjacks at 7:30 at Schumacher Field. We’ll have a snack and enjoy some good outdoor time. Schumacher Field is located at 700 3rd Avenue SW in Forest Lake MN. In case of inclement weather, alternate activities will be held indoors at the Education Center. -
Superhero Craft Night
Create your own Superhero masterpieces to give as gifts or decorate your home! Please wear clothes that can get paint and glue on them, and prepare for a messy creative evening. -
Painting - Four Season Tree
Our Community Education craft instructor Swetha will lead us for a fun painting opportunity “Four Seasons Trees”. Painting in a relaxed atmosphere makes for a fun evening and you'll go home with a fun masterpiece for your wall!! -
Dinner at Dairy Queen
Good food and good friends. Sounds like the perfect evening to enjoy a meal together! Bring money for your meal, beverage and of course sweet treats!! (It would be helpful to check out the DQ menu online before so everyone knows what they would like to order.) Staff or Family Members are welcome to join us for the evening, please register. We will be going to the Forest Lake Dairy Queen. Registration deadline is Tuesday, September 2. -
Let's Go Fishing
Community Education is now partnering with Lets Go Fishing Forest Lake. They are a non-profit organization that offers fishing trips or pontoon rides on Forest Lake for groups like LINK. Right now, we are thinking of splitting the two hour trip into two groups and each group will spend time on the boat and time on the shore doing an activity. In the registration, you will be asked if you are interested in fishing on the trip, and if you currently have a fishing license. This will be a fun and relaxing evening with our LINK friends! For those meeting us there, please park at Lakeside Park and join us at the docks. -
Let's Learn about Disc Golf
We have a new Disc Golf Course at the Education Center- and It’s time for us to learn how to play!! The course is outside, so please wear weather appropriate comfortable clothes and gym shoes. Registration deadline is Tuesday Sept 8. -
Ice Cream Social & a Move of Us

Put on your most creative costume (or come as you are) and join us for our annual Costume Party! There will be music, games, plenty of treats and projects! Time for some make believe! Registration deadline is Tuesday, Oct 27. -
Paint Along with Jeremy
Embrace your inner artist! Our Community Education Painting Instructor Jeremy Ross will lead us as we follow his instruction and each paint our own 8 x 10 canvas "Shoot for the Moon" Masterpiece! All skill levels and abilities are welcome to explore their creativity in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Registration deadline is Tuesday, Nov 10. -
Moving & Grooving
We are going to do some moving and grooving together! We’ll start with some walking, stretching and warm up Yoga and then moving on to Cardio Drumming! CE Instructors Suzanne McCardle (Yoga) and Shelly Berry (Cardio Drumming) will lead us through some good for us movement and exercise! Drumsticks will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes. Bring a yoga mat (or a towel for the floor if you don’t have a yoga mat) and yoga ball if you have one.
