Opportunities range from one time events to Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) parent/child classes that meet every week through out the school year. We know that being a parent is a huge job and our staff is here to offer you information, support and resources as you make choices for your family. Development and learning in the first years of a child’s life are key factors for success in school and beyond. The Early Childhood Programs provide a welcoming and enriching environment for families with children from birth to five years of age. We know that parents are their child's first and most important teachers. The goal of ECFE is to support parents in their child-raising role and provide children with opportunities to discover and learn. FLHA Jr Rangers Winter Hockey | Ages 3-8Athletics & RecreationThis program is for boys and girls ages 3-8 in the Forest Lake Area School district that are new to hockey. This is typically the level that all new players start at and is a combined learn to skate and learn to play hockey program. This is for kids brand new to learning how to skate or play hockey and no prior skating experience is needed.*JR ranger participants that are 3 years old must have a parent helper on the ice with them or must be able to skate on their own Sessions start October 18, 2026 and runs through February 28, 2027. The sessions are 45 minutes with 15 sessions. A limited supply of starter equipment sets are available for purchase for $50 and can be reserved during the registration process on the flhockey.org/juniorrangers website. Fencing Lessons Ages 6-15Athletics & RecreationFencing is a vigorous sport that develops stamina, quick reactions, speed, accuracy of movement and excellent coordination. Classes begin with warm-up exercises followed by games, footwork and drills in a fun, enjoyable atmosphere. Through strategic bouting, you’ll learn fencing strategies that require problem solving skills. You'll also build confidence and develop your analytical skills by learning and practicing how to referee bouts. Fencers are fully protected with a mask, jacket and gloves. All equipment is provided.
