Destination Mars: Rocketry Grades 2-5Science & TechnologyLaunch your very own rocket that speeds 300 feet into the air! Make multiple rockets of varying difficulty to investigate basic aeronautical concepts including propulsion, thrust, lift, drag and more and then take them home. We will also hypothesize about travel in outer space, how to get a United States astronaut to Mars and life on Mars. Students will make, showcase and take home all of their projects. Hand and machine sewing techniques are taught with safety first always in mind.
