FLHA Jr Rangers Winter Hockey | Ages 3-8Athletics & RecreationThis program is for boys and girls ages 3-8 in the Forest Lake Area School district that are new to hockey. This is typically the level that all new players start at and is a combined learn to skate and learn to play hockey program. This is for kids brand new to learning how to skate or play hockey and no prior skating experience is needed.*JR ranger participants that are 3 years old must have a parent helper on the ice with them or must be able to skate on their own Sessions start October 18, 2026 and runs through February 28, 2027. The sessions are 45 minutes with 15 sessions. A limited supply of starter equipment sets are available for purchase for $50 and can be reserved during the registration process on the flhockey.org/juniorrangers website. Fencing Lessons Ages 6-15Athletics & RecreationFencing is a vigorous sport that develops stamina, quick reactions, speed, accuracy of movement and excellent coordination. Classes begin with warm-up exercises followed by games, footwork and drills in a fun, enjoyable atmosphere. Through strategic bouting, you’ll learn fencing strategies that require problem solving skills. You'll also build confidence and develop your analytical skills by learning and practicing how to referee bouts. Fencers are fully protected with a mask, jacket and gloves. All equipment is provided. Fencing Team Ages 13-18Athletics & RecreationEn Guarde! Fencing is a sport of strategy, skill, decision making and athleticism unlike any other; not to mention it’s rich in history and tradition! Train and compete in the fastest growing youth sport in the country! Chisago Lakes and Forest Lake Community Education programs have combined to build this dynamic team of competitive fencers. Represent your school while fencing for Minnesota Sword Play, coached by Kailan Benford. Experienced and beginner fencers are welcome. The competitive season runs October - February, includes 4-5 optional tournaments and provides an opportunity to fence against athletes from all over Minnesota. Participants are responsible for purchasing regulation approved electronic equipment (for competition only, practice equipment provided) and for all tournament fees and transportation. Come to our informational meeting Tuesday, October 28 at Forest View Elementary Media Center. Flag Football League Entering Grades K-3 WAITING LISTAthletics & RecreationPlease note: This is the waiting list for Flag Football League Entering Grades K-3. If a spot opens on your preferred team, you will be automatically enrolled into the correct course and added to a team. If there is a spot available on a different team, you will be contacted. If there is no spot available, you will not be contacted and you will be removed and refunded on September 14th. Register by what grade your student is entering in the fall and the elementary school your student attends. We monitor our numbers daily and will accept as many participants as possible. We add students in order of registration and your child must be on the waiting list before placing them onto a team. You will be contacted if there is a spot open on any team within your child's age/grade. Please note, this may not be the team you have selected. Please note below: Games: Tuesdays (K-1) Thursdays (2-3) K-1 2-3 All games are held at Fenway Fields and practices will be held at various FLAS Elementaries at 5:30pm or 6:30pm. In addition to the game nights, a weekly practice will be planned and communicated by the volunteer coach after the coaches meeting. Practices can be held on Monday-Thursday, excluding your game day.
