Non-Separating Parent/ChildWelcome to Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE)If you are new to the area or to the world of young children, you will find many opportunities to meet other parents and engage with your children in age appropriate activities. We serve families with young children from birth to their first day of kindergarten. Opportunities range from one time events to Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) parent/child classes that meet every week through out the school year. We know that being a parent is a huge job and our staff is here to offer you information, support and resources as you make choices for your family. Development and learning in the first years of a child’s life are key factors for success in school and beyond. What happens in an Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) classECFE classes are as easy as 1,2,3…! 1: Together TimeClass begins with family/child activities designed to enhance your child’s learning. You will also get ideas for things you can do together at home. 2: Family TimeFamilies participate in a discussion led by a licensed parent educator, exploring topics such as child development, discipline, family interaction and other areas of interest. 3: Children’s TimeFor a non-separating class, family members stay in the room to participate a parent discussion group lead by a parent educator. During this time children are learning through activities designed by a licensed Early Childhood teacher to help them grow and develop their social, emotion, cognitive, physical and communication skills.Category -
